Network Appliance (NetApp) is an enterprise data storage company that offers hybrid cloud data services for management of applications and data across cloud and on-premises environments.
You can choose to access this storage through either the SMB/CIFS protocol (generally for Windows machines or where access is controlled with a username/password) or the NFS protocol (generally for Linux/Unix machines or where access is controlled by IP address).
How to access NetApp file shares
There are two types of network file storage available:
As a Common Internet File System (SMB/CIFS) storage
As a Network File System (NFS) storage
